When Panama City and the surrounding area was heavily damaged by Hurricane Michael, the
YLD led the charge in the legal community to help those that needed pro bono legal assistance.
Every year, the
YLD successfully applies for a grant from The Florida Bar to fund its Holidays event, which was moved from January to July beginning in 2016.
A total of 20 gilts, 180 days old, were evaluated from crossbreeding schemes which included
YLD and YBD with animals in each scheme.
On September 1, 2009, the
YLD held its 5th Annual Golf Classic at the Odyssey Country Club in Tinley Park.
Goals as
YLD president include encouraging mental health awareness, and addressing diversity and inclusion issues.
The
YLD kicked off the year with its Get Plugged In social media campaign.

Petersburg this year, he said his top priority as president will be to "embrace technology and operate well-outside the 'box' when it comes to traditional legal thinking." DiGangi implored the
YLD board not to forget about young lawyers working in the public sector and the challenges they face.
The ABA
YLD has 34 district representatives and four national representatives.

This marks the fourth year in a row the
YLD has designated May its "Health and Wellness Month."
