The Cricket camera employs Sony's Xarina IP camera platform, which integrates Sony's superior image signal processing and video encoding capabilities to provide multi-image wide dynamic range (WDR) functionality, 2D and 3D noise reduction, H.264 and MJPEG compression, multi-streaming, and
ONVIF compatibility.
These open standards were created by two industry groups- Open Network Video Interface Forum (
ONVIF) and the Physical Security Interoperability Alliance (PSIA), in 2008.
The Edinburgh company said the expansion was largely down to strong overseas sales of their
ONVIF Control Centre Software.
Enhanced Open and IT Friendly Capabilities: include compliance with Open Network Video Interface Forum (
ONVIF) standards, and support for web and Smartphone connectivity, such as Blackberry, Android, iPhone, and others.
It also enables customers to select from hundreds of IP surveillance cameras and encoders through its support for
ONVIF devices and direct integrations with leading surveillance products.
They also support the
ONVIF specification for interoperability of network video products.
The new module delivers advanced IP technology and features, including H.264 Main Profile compression, powerful Intelligent Video Analysis and alarm handling, and compliance with the Open Network Video Interface Forum (
ONVIF) standard.
Open Network Video Interface Forum --
ONVIF will be the governing body to formulate and communicate the industry standards.
They are also
ONVIF Profile S, G, Q, and T compliant and work with well with third-party video management systems that conform to these
ONVIF Profiles.
