Royal Canadian Army Medical Corp (RCAMC) School opened in 1946 at CFB Borden as Canada's permanent peacetime training center for the Corps.
Where unification did impact the army was in the amalgamation of several trade branches, such as the Royal Canadian Electrical and Mechanical Engineers, Royal Canadian Corps of Signals, Royal Canadian Dental Corps and
Royal Canadian Army Medical Corps. For some diehard monarchists, hope springs eternal that all of those Royal titles will also be reapplied.
