We used modified Krebs-Ringer's buffer (mKRB; 126 mM NaCl, 3 mM KC1, 1.2 mM [KH.sub.2][PO.sub.4], 1.3 mM [MgSO.sub.4], 2.4 mM [CaCl.sub.2], 10 mM glucose, 26 mM [NaHCO.sub.3], 2.5% dextran from Leuconostoc mesenteroides, and 3% Dextran 70) as the perfusate.
After preliminary perfusion with mKRB for 5 min, pregnant rats were perfused with mKRB containing 2 [micro]M BPA-GA for 20 min.
